Our animal hospital offers advanced diagnostic services, including echocardiography for dogs and cats. If your pet is showing symptoms of heart abnormalities, we provide echocardiograms to screen for a number of heart conditions.
What is an Echocardiogram?
An echocardiogram is a painless and simple procedure that allows us to examine the heart’s electrical signal. From this, we can gather information on your pet’s heart rate and detect any irregularities in rhythm. This test also allows our veterinarians to get a detailed look inside of your pet’s heart, and to clearly visualize the chambers and valves. Once we have visualized the patient’s heart, we can use these details to make a diagnosis, and create a course of treatment if necessary.
